4 SIMPLE TIPS ON BEING A FIT MOM!
It’s definitely not easy being a parent and making time for yourself. Here are four simple tips on how you can integrate fitness into your busy lifestyle!
Don’t leave your workout plans till the end of the day. Chances are that you will disregard a good workout being either too tired or caught up with your kids needs. The best is to sweat as soon as you rise! Yup, that means waking up half an hour earlier to squeeze in a workout. The best part about this is that you get to finish your workout even before your kids wake up.
Planning is essential when it comes to making time for activities in a day. To save time, plan ahead your workouts even before you hit the gym or start a workout. This way, you get to save time in thinking what you should be doing and you will tend to be more motivated to even start your workout.
Include Your Kids!
Being a parent means very little ‘me’ time. The good news is, you can include your kids in your workout too! Take them for a jog, or let them follow you in your workouts. Kids have so much energy and they like to move around a lot. Use this as your advantage! Incorporating them would also instill fitness in your children at a young age, and as they get older, exercising can be bonding time with your family! You can even take them on hikes during the weekends simply to bond or to stay in shape!
Their Playtime = Your Bootcamp
When you take your kids to the park or playground, you can use the jungle gym as your own gym! Do simple bodyweight workouts with the jungle gym equipment, such as tricep dips on the bench, inclined push ups, and even pull-ups on the monkey bar! This way, you can still keep an eye on your kids as well as your own workout. You will be killing two birds with one stone (not literally) and you’re never too old to play outside!
